Pickleball Round Robin Generator

Make a fair doubles round robin for any number of players and courts: rotating or fixed partners, even sit-outs, live scores and standings, and a link you can share with the group.

  1. Type or paste names (one per line), or just set the number of players.
  2. Set how many courts you have and how many rounds you have time for. The suggested number gives everyone the same number of sit-outs.
  3. Pick a format, then print the schedule or tap Copy link and send it to the group chat.
  4. Enter game scores as you go. Standings update instantly and the scores travel with the link.

Frequently asked questions

How does a rotating-partner round robin work?

Each round every player is paired with someone they have not partnered yet, against two other players. With 8 players on 2 courts, 7 rounds gives every player each of the other 7 as a partner exactly once. With 9 players on 2 courts, 9 rounds does the same and everyone sits out exactly once.

What happens with an odd number of players or too few courts?

Extra players sit out a round. The generator rotates sit-outs so nobody sits twice before everyone has sat once, and it suggests a number of rounds that leaves every player with the same number of games.

How are standings decided?

By default players are ranked on games won, then point difference. You can switch to total points or average points per game, which is fairer when not everyone played the same number of games.

Do I need an app or an account?

No. Everything runs in your browser. The schedule, names and scores live in the page address, so the Copy link button is all you need to share it; nothing is stored on our servers.

Assumptions and sources

  • Rotating partners: when the number of players is a multiple of four (or one more) and there is a court for every four players, the schedule is an exact rotation in which nobody repeats a partner. Other combinations use a search that avoids repeated partners first and repeated opponents second.
  • Draws are reproducible: the same names, courts, rounds and draw number always give the same schedule. Use New draw for a different one.
  • Timed rounds (for example 12 to 15 minutes) keep courts moving together; enter whatever score the game reached when time was called.
