Racket Spots (racketspots.com) is operated by Falkin LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it and the choices you have. By using Racket Spots you agree to this policy and to our terms of use.

What this site is

Racket Spots is a directory. It lists courts, clubs, courts and related events and articles, compiled from public sources. We are not affiliated with the venues or organizers listed.

Information we collect

  • Information you send us. If you email us, submit a listing claim or correction, or subscribe to our newsletter, we receive the details you provide (typically your name, email address and message). We use them only to respond, to process the request and, for the newsletter, to send the emails you asked for.
  • Usage data. Like most websites we collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page, time of visit) and use analytics services to understand how the site is used. See "Cookies and analytics" below.
  • Location. The "near you" feature only reads your location when you ask for it, in your browser, using the browser's permission prompt. The coordinates are used to look up nearby listings and are not stored by us.

Information about venues and businesses

Listings on Racket Spots are built from publicly available business information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, websites and opening hours. Our main sources are Google Places (Google Maps), OpenStreetMap and the venues' own websites. This is business data, not personal data, but if a listing includes information about you that you want corrected or removed, email contact@racketspots.com with the listing URL and we will update or remove it, normally within 10 business days.

Cookies and analytics

We use the following third-party services, each of which may set cookies or similar identifiers:

  • Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and page performance. Data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy; IP addresses are not stored by GA4. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
  • Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-focused page-view counter that does not track individuals across sites.
  • Google AdSense to show advertising. Google and its partners use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites ("personalised advertising"). You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent prompt before any advertising cookies are set.
  • Maps. Map tiles and embedded maps are loaded from third-party map providers, who receive your IP address when a map is displayed.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without cookies; only the newsletter and analytics depend on them.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers above (analytics, advertising, email delivery and hosting), when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of the site and its users.

Some links to retailers are affiliate links. The retailer may set its own cookies when you follow one. See our affiliate and advertising disclosure.

Retention and security

Emails and claim submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle them and for our records, then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe (every email has an unsubscribe link). We use HTTPS throughout and reputable hosting providers, but no internet transmission is completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@racketspots.com. We do not discriminate against anyone who exercises them.

Children

Racket Spots is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version; material changes will be noted on this page.
