Padel Americano and Mexicano Generator

Run an Americano, Mexicano or Team Americano for 4 to 48 players on any number of courts: fair rotations and sit-outs, points entry, a live leaderboard and a shareable link.

  1. Add the players' names (one per line) or just the number of players, and how many courts you have booked.
  2. Choose Americano, Mexicano or Team Americano and the points per match (24 is the most common; 16 or 21 for shorter slots).
  3. Each match is played to a fixed number of points served in turn. Type one side's points and the other fills in.
  4. Share the link with the group: everyone sees the courts, the scores and the live leaderboard.
Format

Partners rotate every round so you play with as many people as possible. Every point you win counts for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is a padel Americano?

A social format where partners change every round. Each match is a fixed number of points (often 24) and every point you win goes to your own total, so you can win the night even if you lose some matches. With 8 players on 2 courts, 7 rounds gives everyone each of the others as a partner once.

What is the difference between Americano and Mexicano?

In an Americano the whole schedule is set at the start. In a Mexicano only round 1 is random; after that, each round is drawn from the leaderboard so players of similar form meet, with 1st and 4th against 2nd and 3rd on each court. Mexicano games get closer as the night goes on.

How does serving work when playing to points?

Most clubs rotate the serve every few points (for example four serves each, so each of the four players serves once in 16 points) and play every point out with no deuce. The match ends when the agreed total is reached, such as 24 points shared between both pairs.

What if the number of players is not a multiple of four?

Extra players rest for a round. Rests rotate so nobody rests twice before everyone has rested once, and the suggested number of rounds gives everyone the same number of rests. If rest counts differ, rank by average points per match instead of total points.

Assumptions and sources

  • With 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, 17 (and so on) players and one court per four players, the Americano schedule is an exact rotation: nobody repeats a partner within the cycle. Other combinations avoid repeated partners first and repeated opponents second.
  • Players who rest score nothing that round. The same names, courts, rounds and draw number always give the same draw.
  • Mexicano draws the next round only when every score of the current round is in.
